Privacy Policy

Overview

Schooner is a local-first application. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data remains on your Mac.

Data we do not collect

• Your SSH hostnames, credentials, or keys
• The contents of files you transfer
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports (unless you explicitly submit one)
• Your name, email address, or any account information

Data stored on your device

Schooner stores the following data locally on your Mac, in locations you control:

• ~/.ssh/config — your SSH host definitions (standard OpenSSH file)
• ~/Library/Application Support/Schooner/schooner.sqlite — nicknames, tags, notes, SSH key records, backup snapshots, and trust relationships

None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly copy or sync it yourself (e.g. via iCloud Drive or Syncthing).

Network connections

Schooner makes outbound network connections only to servers that you explicitly configure and connect to. The app itself does not contact any Schooner-operated server for any purpose.

Analytics and tracking

Schooner does not use any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking services. No data about how you use the app is collected or transmitted.

Third-party services

Schooner does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.

Purchase and payment

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. When you complete a purchase, Lemon Squeezy may collect your name, email address, and payment information in accordance with their privacy policy. Schooner itself does not receive or store your payment details.

Data deletion

Since Schooner stores all data locally on your Mac, you can delete all app data at any time by removing the following files:

• ~/Library/Application Support/Schooner/ — all app data
• ~/.ssh/config entries added by Schooner (use Schooner's built-in delete actions before uninstalling)

To uninstall completely, drag Schooner.app to Trash and remove the above directory.
